My Personal Midlife Ascension Story...
Hi there, dear Rising Woman! I’m Tatiana, a Transformational Leader with more than 15 years of executive experience at Airbnb, Disney and Procter & Gamble, who left a successful corporate career to follow my calling and mission to build Rising Women.
Since I was a little girl, growing up in Brazil, I dreamed of being a business woman. I would walk around my house carrying my dad's briefcase and wearing my mom's high-heels pretending I was going to work.
Even though Brazil is a fairly patriarchal country, my dad believed the world was going to be led by women one day so he coached me from a young age to step up and lead.
All my big decisions and moves in life had this one dream in mind - to be the best leader I could be - this to me meant fulfilling the potential and purpose I felt within.
This fueled me to move to the U.S. all by myself when I was 18 for a better education, to get my MBA at a top business school, to join the world's top companies and to learn from the best.
By the time I turned 40 years old, I had "achieved" my big career dreams - I had successfully become a high-rising executive at a Fortune 500 company, I had collected amazing titles and accolades, I was making close to $500K a year, I was leading an incredible global team of brilliant marketers across the Americas, Europe and Asia for one of the world's most admired brands.
Yet I had started to realize that this life and career I had devoted my entire life to build just wasn't "it"...
Through a series of personal health-scares and perspective-altering societal moments, I started to contemplate really big questions like "who am I really", "why am I here", "what is life all about" and "why have I been killing myself to sell laundry detergent, theme-park tickets or vacation rentals?"
I am not going to lie, this took me down a deep journey unlearning, shedding and releasing of outdated molds, limiting beliefs, external expectations, conditioning and programming that I had learned throughout my life... so I could begin to remember who I truly am and why I am really here.
I felt like I went through a profound "midlife metamorphosis" as I released the "caterpillar" and transformed into the authentic "butterfly" that I was always meant to be and who is here to fly high in her full power, magic and brilliance!
The Rising Women movement was born from my own journey and proven over time as I mentored many other amazing women leaders through their own Midlife Ascension.
This is a mission fueled by a deep knowing that when a woman unlearns, she remembers... and when we remembers, she rises within and changes the world in BIG ways.
